Did you go to "Hatsumode"?
Share the annual New Year event “Hatsumode”.
※This article is an English translation of an article posted in January 2019.

About Meiji Shrine

It is dedicated to the spirits of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken.
2020 will celebrate the 100th anniversary

In 2019 HATSUMODE went to Meiji Shrine.
Hatsumode is the first shrine visit of the new year.
However, it is very crowded in early January.

About congestion

Congestion level:120%

Visited on Saturday, January 5th.
There are many people ... no, too many.
There was a food stand and it looked like a festival.

It took an hour from Harajuku station to arrive at the map location.

The HATSUMODE is very crowded.

Nearby cafe

If you get tired, there is a cafe "NESCAFE Harajuku" where you can use Wi-Fi near Harajuku Station.

I will write about the cafe in the next article, so I will post a link later.
